Gabion Basket Description
Our galvanized gabion boxes, also known as stone cages, are woven
from high tensile steel wire with hot-dip galvanized treatment to
achieve outstanding rust and corrosion resistance, suitable for
long-term underwater and humid river environment use. Featuring
flexible hexagonal mesh structure, the gabion cage can adapt to
slight foundation deformation without breaking, and its excellent
permeability balances water pressure inside and outside the river
embankment to avoid slope collapse caused by water scouring.
Filled with hard crushed stones, these stone cages are widely used
in river bank reinforcement, channel regulation, flood control
levee protection, river scour prevention and waterside slope
stabilization. Different from rigid concrete revetment, the gaps
inside the gabion allow vegetation to grow, realizing ecological
river restoration and protecting aquatic ecosystems. The
prefabricated gabion panels are easy to transport and assemble on
site, greatly cutting construction time and overall engineering
cost, with a long service life to guarantee long-term river safety.
