Single Phase AC Induction Motor Classification

Single-phase induction motors provide additional magnetic flux in a number of complementary ways to achieve self-starting. The classification of single-phase induction motors depends on how this additional flux is generated:

1. Split-phase induction motor.

2. Capacitor-start induction motor.

3. The capacitor starts the capacitor to run the induction motor (two-value capacitor method. for starting and running electric motors).

4. Permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor.
